      Cleaning Reactant

1,2 Benzisothiazolin-3-one solution of Dipropylene Glycol

      Mixture

This is an antimicrobial preservative. We utilize this to keep our bacteria in spore-form while in the bottle and prevent them from being spoiled by outside microbes. By creating a mildly antibacterial environment, the bacteria are prevented from becoming active and spoiling. This product is antimicrobial but does not interfere with the enzymes in the bottle, allowing them to work immediately upon application while the bacteria activate. When the product is further diluted (used normally as per our instructions), the bacteria are able to activate and clean as desired. We like because it is listed in the CleanGredients database of chemical ingredients that have been pre-approved by the U.S. EPA to meet the Safer Choice Standard.

This product is used as a buffer, helping keep the conditions ideal for the bacteria and enzymes.

      Viable Bacillus Bacteria

      Trade Secret

The bacteria we use are Class 1 Non-Pathogenic, soil-borne, bacillus bacteria, and we choose specific bacteria strains that best break down the problem (stains, odors, solid waste, buildup from fats, oils and grease, etc.). Bacteria produce their own enzymes to break down organic matter into consumable pieces, and then the bacteria consume those components and the enzymes. The bacteria we use require moisture and a food source (solid waste, grease, etc.), reproduce roughly every 20 minutes, and are similar to probiotic bacteria found in yogurt.

      Eucalyptus Mint Fragrance

      Mixture

This fragrance was selected to give the product a pleasing, fresh scent.

      Green Colorant

      Trade Secret

We use both liquid and powdered green colorants in our products. This aids in visual appeal, and helps with cleaning by allowing the user to see where they have already scrubbed.

      Soda Ash

      497-19-8

    FAQs

How often should I use GoodHaven Toilet Bowl Cleaner + Septic Tank Treatment?

For the best routine, clean one toilet once per week. Each weekly cleaning provides a complete septic treatment for tanks up to 1,500 gallons while keeping your toilet bowl fresh and clean.

What if my home has more than one toilet?

It is perfectly fine to clean multiple toilet bowls. One full liquid treatment or stick pack is enough to treat a septic tank up to 1,500 gallons, and any additional cleanings simply add more beneficial bacteria to the system. You can also divide one treatment among several toilet bowls if you prefer not to use the full amount in a single bowl.

Can I clean more than one toilet per week?

Absolutely. One weekly cleaning is enough to treat a septic tank up to 1,500 gallons, but cleaning additional toilets simply delivers more beneficial bacteria to the system. There is no need to measure an exact amount or worry about being overly precise.

Does GoodHaven Toilet Bowl Cleaner + Septic Tank Treatment replace my separate septic tank treatment?

Yes. GoodHaven Toilet Bowl Cleaner + Septic Tank Treatment provides a complete septic treatment as part of your regular toilet-cleaning routine, eliminating the need to remember and purchase a separate monthly additive.

Does GoodHaven Toilet Bowl Cleaner + Septic Tank Treatment replace normal septic maintenance?

No. GoodHaven Toilet Bowl Cleaner + Septic Tank Treatment is designed to complement a properly maintained septic system. Continue following recommended pumping, inspection, water-use, and maintenance practices.
